STRENGTHS:

• Nero is a very determined person, sometimes to a fault, but he will always follow through when he applies himself to something.
  
• Simultaneously, he is very goal-oriented and somewhat single-minded in his pursuit of said goals.
  
• He is a very capable combatant and has been known to best monsters and demons that are many times his own size.
  
• When Nero trusts someone, he is very loyal to a person and to their cause, even if he himself doesn't have too many feelings on. If you're important to him and it's your jam, then it's his jam too.
  
• Nero doesn't hesitate and can act quickly in a situation.

WEAKNESSES:

• Nero is a little antisocial, so working by himself is definitely the better option.
  
• Even so he can be very short-tempered and let's his emotions get the better of him. Growing frustration can make him a little short-sided at times and leads him to making more impulsive decisions than good ones.
  
• He has a habit of being a smart-ass and mouthing off to opponents which, if you really think you can adequately best them makes for amusing pre-fight banter, but is also the kind of thing one does when they just like to piss people off. It can make a dangerous situation worse.
  
• Despite being a skilled combatant and boasting, Nero still has some confidence issues and sees his own failures as weaknesses.

AREAS OF INTEREST:

He would definitely like to get in on some ACTION, that's what he's good at. Nero was a little jealous Dante got to go off and kill demons. He doesn't need to do that, perse, but something where he gets to fight would be his preference.

This would be his first quest so I'm just excited to get him involved! As of right now Nero's trying to figure out what he actually should be doing to help the situation. He thought he was recruited to knock heads (and since there was a big battle prior to his arrival that seemed a fair assumption). But recent discussions about the decay and comments people have made about the Emperor in particular are getting him to wonder if that's really going to help anything. Unfortunately for him he feels like fighting is really what he can do, but he could be capable of more. He just doesn't realize it.

At the moment Nero has no faction loyalty but he's also got no real ideas about a solution to anything other than "they should knock it off". (Really helpful, I know.) He does feel a little like he's flitting around doing silly things like chasing geese and wrangling horses so having something more action-based and goal-oriented would do him well and give him a bit of a heading.

LONG TERM CHARACTER GOALS:

Again since he's still new I'm kind of dipping my toes in the water to see where he might fit in to help the overall plot. He's in a unique spot because he was technically here before but as an older version of himself and on the other team, so Nero really wants to know what that's about. (It may have 0 actual IC implications, but it bothers him.)

On a personal level he just found out he has a dad, so having some sort of relationship with Vergil will be important to him, even though they're on opposite sides. They do share a similar fear of not being strong enough to protect the people they care about, losses that he blames himself for. I would like for him to be able to get the opportunity to do right by that in some capacity in his stay in Fellden.

Also not exactly concrete, but in looking at all the different pantheon options and after gleaning some info from community posts, it does sound like there's a path for currently unlocked/unavailable gods to be brought back/opened up? Considering Nero's reason for agreeing to come to Fellden in the first place was entirely to protect someone he loves with all of his being, I did think there was something poetic in the idea of Nero being involved in someway in being able to resurrect the Lovers--if that is a plot option available! He's a moody boy most of the time but he is intense with his feelings.
